Lima

Lima was the first and last destination we visited during our two-week trip to Peru. It’s a sprawling city filled with contrasts – old and new, rich and poor, controlled and chaotic, fast paced and slow going, rough and refined.

See & Do: Wander through Cental Lima, stopping at Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, the Iglesia de San Francisco, and Chinatown. See the Huaca Pucllana ruins in Miraflores.

Eat & Drink: Have dinner at the Huaca Pucllana Restaurant (Miraflores), Arlotia (Barranco), and LA 73 (Barranco). Stop at Ayahuasca for a late-night pisco sour (Barranco).

Sleep: For a multi-day visit, stay at Hotel Huacawasi in Miraflores. The D’Osma B&B in Barranco is a handy option for a late arrival or one-night stop.
